Transfer stock in transit to APO

Former Member

Hello,

We are trying to transfer stock in transit from ECC to APO. We have created an integration model and apparently all data is sent with no problems (since no warning or errors appears). But when we try to check the in transit stock in the planning book, it wont take into account the quantity that is in transit.

What could be the problem? Do we have to change something in the planning book? Do we have to change something in the integration model?

Thanks un advance for your help.

David

HI,

This is not possible in the standard.

You need to create a custom KF and map the category CS to it.

Stock dosplayedi n planning book is calculated using a macro. You need to modify the macro accordingly to exclude the value in this KF and display the balance stock.

David,

nothing to change in the planning book its how the order is processed in R3. There is a great description of the process in the book "supply chain management with APO" by J.T Dickersbach. section 11.4 "stock in transit".

an quote from that book " The usage of the inbound delivery in R/3 is the only way to model the stock in transit in APO."

before that the book does describe the transaction process in R/3

David,

You will not be able to see intransit stock in planning book as the stock category CS (intransit stock) is not configured with any key figure. If you still want to see it, then you can modify stock category group in location master, add CS in the same then intransit will get consider for planning book calclation and will be seen in "stock in hand" key figure.

But you wont be able to see it in "intransit" keyfigure as per reason told by george in his reply.

Hope this helps.

thank you for your answers..

In planning view, under production planning, we are able to see that the stock in transit has been transferred. The problem, like George wrote it, is that we are not able to see it in the planning book, and apparently is not taking into account the incoming quantity.

Do we have to change something in the planning book in order to see the stock in transit? Thank you again for your help.

Hi David,

Please check whether instransit stock category is defined in APO under

category and category groups in customisation.

Also check in CFM5 whether integration model exists for stock in

transit category

The integration between apo and R3 for intransit is based on R3 inbound deliveries. If you are not using them you will see the stock as intransit in you inventory views in APO but you will not see it in the snp planning book. There is a oss note that describes the specific requirments for this integration.
