Credit Leave on Quarterly Basis

Former Member

Dear All,

We have a type of ABsence Quota ie.Earned Leave. This type of leave gets credited to the employee on a quarterly basis.

i.e. 1st Quarter(jan to march) 5 days

2nd Q - 5

3rd Q - 5

4th Q - 6 days.

In the configuration, base entitlement has been set as Other Period i.e. Quarterly.

But when am generating the quota through report RPTQTA00 for different quarters,it gives me entire 21 days.

It does not consider each quarter.

Please help.

Regards,

Vidya

once check the Base entitlements u have selected quaterly right

now in other period u have checked Quaterly

u need to generate the period parameters in pay periods

and also check Period Parameters frequncey for quaterly in T549Q

and if it is not as per ur requirment u have to update the table manually ................for that peiod parameter as per quaterly..

hey thanks a lot ....

i generated the payroll period with Period Parameter...i.e.Quarterly ...

Inspite of that it gives me entire 21 days.....

I have specified the Accrual Period as Quarterly.

Base Entitlement : As per ESG & PSG, specified the rules as required

(Period : Quarterly,Constant : 5 days (or 6 days )

1. 5 days

2. 5 days

3. 5 days

4. 6 days

Cant figure out...why isnt considering the exact quarter?

Hi Vidya,

can u tel me.. hw is that yu have configiured... 5,5,5 and then 6 ???

it should be 5 per quarter.. fixed so system would calculate 5 for quarter... and 20 per annum...

i guess there is somethng wrong in doing ur 6 days for last quarter... it is causing problem...

cn u tel me exact configure that u hav done for this ? form Quomo Feature.... to Generation Rule...

i would like to ask u to check

Period parameter if they are configured as per qualterly

and later the base entitlements in the selection ruile

if it is giveing 21 days right

for which period it is giving for every quarter it is generateing 21 days pls confirm ..........

quarterly will be 4 times per year if ur base entitlement is 5 5*4 =20

so the constant value shd be 5 days

and u need to select the

select period for quarterly ......... in the RPTQTA00.........

and try

for first quarter 5

second 5 total 10 sholud be generated

Check this one and let us know if there is anythign else

yes you are right....when am giving just one rule for base entitlement ( period : quarterly), its generating 5 days as per each quarter.

But in my case, leave has to be credited

1st q : 5

2nd q : 5

3rd q : 5

4th q : 6

EMployee is credited leave on quarterly basis.

In the Base Entitlement, using a single rule & different sequential nos, i have maintained the base entitlement as stated above. When generating quota,it doesnt consider each quarter & directly gives 21 days.

i.e. 01.01.2009 to 31.03.2009 still it gives me 21days.

Oh Vidhya,

There it is the problem....

Sequence 001-004 that u have used, is not for ur scenario...

Yu know, system has taken all Rules and cumulated for each quarter.. and thus for each quarter system has generated 21 days of leave...

There is no such possibility of givin or assigning 5*3+6....

Yu can do this only by Time Evaaluation... keeping ur own rules... i.e., Time Balances...when u use TM00/TM01/TQTA schemas.

Hope ur query answerd.... please close the thread if so.

Guru

U need to generate for 3 months seperately...

give in input screen, 01.01.2009-30.03.2009, system will thn generate 5 dayssss

then again generate for April to June... like wise yu have to generate...

then u can find 4 entries (one for each quarter)

otherwise, if u go for complete calendar year, u will get comple in one record.

NOTE: if u try to execute for 10 monhts, system will generate only for 9 months.... only after completion of other 2 months,

it will be crediting last quarter days.....

This is very much correct as per standard

hiiii.....

i have generated for each quarter separately......i.e. 1st quarter then 2nd etc....

but still it gives me entire 21 days

i.e. for 01.01.2010 to 31.03.2010 - instead of giving 5 days it gives me 21 days.

please help...
