Step to install SAP GUI (MAC)
Creating connections:
1. Next step is to add an SAP system . To do that open the “SAP GUI forJAVA” logon pad
2. Next select “JAVA GUI services” in the dropdown next to Delete icon
3.Now push the “Create New” icon button , button next to “Connect” button on the Top Left corner
4. In the window open , add description and navigate to “Advanced” tab
5.Select the checkbox : Expert Mode and add the connection string as below
conn=/H/<SAP Router Server address(if any)>/S/3299/H/<SAP server address>/S/32<Instance_no>
e.g.
conn=/H/xx.xxx.xx.xxx/S/3299/H/abc.corp.com/S/3201

Hello,
in case you are using Safari, this browser seems to treat ftp in a special way and for this particular url, it also fails for me.
It should open in FireFox for example though.
But, the download via anonymous ftp is discontinued, see ftp://ftp.sap.com/pub/sapgui/java/README.htm .
Goto the SDN links provided earlier in this thread.
Best regards
Rolf-Martin
Hello,
mentioned readme says:
In case you do not have yet a user for accessing <a href="https://service.sap.com/support">https://service.sap.com/support</a>, please request a user at <a href="https://service.sap.com/request-user">https://service.sap.com/request-user</a>.

Hello,
I did not write "menu". In the middle column of the screen, there is some text with various sections.
Or use
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/sap-gui#section6 for Installation
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/sap-gui#section26 for Downloads
Best regards
Rolf-Martin
Click on New. Enter a description.
Click on the Advanced tab. Select Expert Mode.
Type a string in there like this:
conn=/H/10.11.12.13/S/3200
You can see that after the /H/ is the host and after the /S/ is the system. If the system number was 06 it would be 3206.
From the help:
Example for a connection to an SAP system with the connection string /H/iwdf8997.wdf.sap-ag.de/S/3200:
conn=/H/iwdf8997.wdf.sap-ag.de/S/3200
Example for the same SAP system, with automatic logon (user guest, password secret) and a start transaction (BIBS):
conn=/H/iwdf8997.wdf.sap-ag.de/S/3200&user=guest&pass=secret&tran=BIBS
Hello,
do not unzip the archive, double click the jar file you downloaded.
Alternatively, launch the jar file with java -jar PlatinGUI....jar from the terminal command line.
Best regards
Rolf-Martin
P.S: which instructions do you refer to? Where would you have expected to find the required information?
