1. What is the field -- Fiscial year Variant in Storage Bucket Profile?

Hi anusha,

1) Fiscal year variant is maintained under customisation in APO

under the below menu

spro > IMG guide > APO > Supply chain planning >

DP > Connection to planning areas > basic settings > Maintain fiscal year variants

2) Using this fiscal year variant, the fiscal year is determined.

3) You can use the fiscal year to define the following:

a) How many posting periods there are in a fiscal year.

b) How many special periods you require.

c) How the system should determine posting periods when posting.

d) When you define these settings, you must assign your posting periods to the calendar year

It is advisable to have unique or similar values for both SBF & PBF.

It will avoid storage issues.

i have created Storage Bucket Profile with 3 years horizon. now i want to give 4 years in PBF. is that possible to give more than SBF?? plz help me out???

Basically Fisacl year varinat defines the Financial Year for the business & planning buckets...

Hi anusha,

Posting period:-

A period within a fiscal year for which transaction figures are updated.

Every transaction that is posted is assigned to a particular posting period.

The transaction figures are then updated for this period.

Special Period:-

A posting period used to divide the last regular posting period for closing operations.

A maximum of twelve posting periods and four special periods make up a fiscal year

For storage bucket profile, you can maintain the fiscal year variant based

on business decision.
