Hi All,

While installing Oracle 10g client in part of Solution Manager 7, I am getting the below message and not able to proceed further.

u201CChecking monitor: must be configured to display at least 256 colors

>>> Could not execute auto check for display colors using command /usr/openwin/bin/xdpyinfo. Check if the DISPLAY variable is set. Failed <<<<u201D

I am installing Solution Manager in SUN Solaris by using Reflection X software from windows.

Please help me out on this.

Regards,

Vamsheedhar.

You are trying on sun solaris via x-manager..

then check display driver configured on sun solaris or not just

give $xclock if it not working then

set DISPLAY windowsmachineIP:0.0; export DISPLAY;

Hi,

Install display driver and set display property/colors/resolution.

The problem is not the local display driver but the Reflection.

This is neither an Oracle nor a SAP problem, I suggest you contact Attachmate.
