Is SAML 2.0 supported by SAP AS? I want to use SAP AS as Service Provider and another system as Identity Provider.

Yes, you can use SAP AS as Service Provider and another system as Identity Provider (here you will use the Responder). I would like to suggest you to use before the SAP SAML Demo application in order to verify saml configuration, in this case you have an integrated SAML Responder.
