Any RFC To Archive and Delete IDOC from XI?

Former Member

hi,

Is there any standard RFC available which archives and deletes the IDOC?

In my scenario i have to delete the IDOC that has successfully transmistted an IDOC to a SOAP Receiver.

client's requirement is to delete the IDOC immediately instead of running a SAP batch program scheduled sometime later.

Let me know if there is one.

Thanks,

Tirumal

Hi Tirumal,

Run the programs through transaction SE38.

To Archive: RSEXARCA/RSEXARCB

To delete archived Idocs: RSEXARCD

Restore: RSEXARCL

You can read the documentation before you actually use them.

Hi Tirumal,

You need to run the program in the SAP system where your Idocs are not in SAP XI system.

Your response confused me more.

Can i invoke those programs that you mentioned in form of RFC so that i can invoke from XI?

Thanks,

Hi Tirumal,

This is round about way,you can call an RFC. The RFC in turn would call the report using SUBMIT program. I have not done this but you can try.

But i feel just scheduling the report every five min would be better solution then making an RFC call. Just a suggestion.

I completely understand that scheduling the report every on a timely basis is the best way.

But you know if i were the manager i could have taken decisions but since i am not i have to do what the client says. No other way.

We will see.

Thanks for your patience and helpful answers.
