Want to know about the concept of "Requirement Grouping " and in which scenarios it will be applicable.

Hi

This concept normally used in PP(Production planning).

It means group the similar requirements in one planned order, instead of creating more number of planned orders.

Basically this requirement is grouped using the lot sizes in MRP.

For requirement grouping you can use the following Lot sizes

FX -- Fixed order quantity

If you use this you can fix the qunatity for planned order creation.

EX: Your lot size is FX =100

Requirement is 25,35 and 40

So the system will group requirement and it will give you the planned order for 100

Lot Size MB --- Monthly lot size

Using this you can group the monthly requirement into one lot

Lot Size WB ---Weekly lot size

Using this you can group the weekly requirement in one lot
