Customer creation without Sales Area data?

Hello,

I need to create Customers without Sales Area Data and FInancial Data.

After the Customer is created an interface would update the Financial Data.

Is this possible?

Hi ,

We can do this based on the settings maintained in account group.First check your account group whether the sales area is mandatory or optional,if it is mandatoty ,then make it as a optional then you can craete a customer masted in t code:VD01.

HI,

In the addition to Rajas sloution you can also create the Customer in XD01,

Here you just select the Customer Account Group > Enter > Fill the Ganaral data entries and save it.

later on you can add the salea area data & FI data as per your requirement.

Hi,

Using VD01 or XD01 you can create customers only with the general data view. For this select only the account group in the initial screen and do not maintain sales area or company code. Now in the second screen you can enter the general data view and would not have access to sales area view or company code view. Also system would allow you to save the entry and will not give you an error message. You do not have to change any configuration for the accounting group just leave them as is.

Hi there,

there might be some mandatiry data when creating the master data. Without maintaining that, system will not allow you to create customer master.

Check that in SPRO --> financial accounting --> A/c receivables & A/c payable --> Customer A/c -.> Master records --> Define screen layout for activity. There you can select the fileds in different views of customer master. You can also define what field is mandatoty, what can be supressed etc.

So in your case check what data in Salea area is mandatory. If something is mandatory, make it optional. Orsle system will not allow you to save in VD01 without that data.

Hi,

Yes, Its possible, Go to T-Code VD01, and do not enter any sales area in the first creation screen, and then select account group. and press enter. here only general data screen will open.
