SQL 2008 upgrade for SAP High-Availability System

Hi,

Our ECC Production system is installed as High-Availability System on Windows OS cluster with two nodes (SAPDBS-A,SAPDBS-B)

We are using Windows Server 2003 x64 Enterprise edition and SQL Server 2005 x64 Enterprise edition.

While running upgrade advisor in the CONNECTION PARAMETERS window instance name is not getting determined. As per the help I tried with both values MSSQLSERVER and DEFAULT, in both cases it gives an error.

"Unable to connect to server. Reason: A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server)"

Behavior is same in both nodes. I have completed the prerequisites as per the upgrade documents like dotnet 3.5 and windows hot fix 937444.

Regards
