We have a requirement such that a material BOm having component as

Header Item A

Components B & C

What Item category Group to be taken for A such that it can Explode as bom (ERLA) and also generate the Purchase requisition (as in BANS)

Third party BOM to explode and create the PR.

However the componets to be NORM and should not create the PRS

Hi Sarkar,

You create a custom item category with the combination of the document type, ERLA and in that Item category definition tick the check box "Create PO Auotmatically".If you activate this field, the system automatically generates both a purchase order requisition for third-party schedule lines. You have to maintain the combination for the schedule line aswell and in that schedule line maintain the order type as "NB" which is Purchase requisition and maintain the Item Category and the Account assignment category as 3rd party aswell. This should work.

hi,

you can use TAP(regular bom item categories) but in VOV7 tick the check box " create po automatically" this will create both PO and PR

this will create automatic PR
