i DP error- Selection could not be locked: Locking conflict with the user

Hi APO'ers

I am trying to key in historical values in the IDP screen (Txn: /sapapo/sdp94). but then it pops up information window which says

SELECTION COULD NOT BE LOCEKED:LOCKING CONFLICT WITH THE USER XXXXX.

and when i ignore this information it changes the session in to display mode.

I was able to input values, last time and all the necessary configs are in place. What could be the underlying problem for this to happen?

Please throw some light on this issue!!

Hi Patel,

When you are accessing some object in planning book, at the sametime some other

user also accessed that object and as a result, the object got locked and hence

you are getting this error.

Go to transaction sm12 and clear the lock and then retry planning book changes.

If still problem exists, inform this error to basis people so that they will help you

in clearing this error.
