catalogs and selected sets

Hi, how catalogs qs41 and selected sets qs51 are related? can u pls explain with one example?

In addition to that

catalogs : Are the code Gr & codes.

selected sets :Selected set are the codes which are from different code gruops in simple language.

Say example defect code 9:

code gr X -->has codes

A:

B:

C:

Code Gr Y-->has codes

E:

F:

G:

Now I will create a selected set with codes like

Selected set XY-->has codes

A:

C:

F:

G:

That means from different code grups I have selected some codes which I have added in one selected set.

similerly only few codes of one code group can be added in to selected set.

This is advantage of selected set.& how they are related.

Hello Yadav,

the relationship is the following:

In QS41 you create a catalog with codes i.e. for the UD

Catalog 3

Codes OK, NOK, AVG, RET

In QS51 you create a selected set and you can use the codes from QS41 i.e to make a selection for a certain plant.

i.e.

Plant 0001 Selected set 01 Codes OK, NOK, RET

Plant 0002 Selected set 01 Codes OK,NOK, AVG

Plant 0003 Selected set 01 Codes OK, NOK
