perfromance issue

Hi,

We installed fresh system IDES ECC 6.0 with SQL SERVER 2005 on Win 2003 32 bit , but its too slow. Their HIT RATIO is between 50% - 70% MAX which has to be more then 95%.

NOTE: AFTER 3-4 HOURS, I AM GETTING "BLUE SCREEN ERROR"

In task manager

PF USAGES: 6-8 GB

ALL THESE ENCLOSED ENTRIES IS INCREASING AFTER EVERY SECOND.

sqlservr.exe

cpu usage- 00 - 02

Memory- 1,229,698k TO 6,321,980k

jlauch.exe

CPU: 00-02

MEMORY: 193,604 & 30,872

disp+work.exe

CPU: 00-02

MEMORY: 67,604K+

Please suggest some ways to tune r server.

Hi,

i think this probelm due to hardware.Check if any driver failure see system log.

"BLUE SCREEN ERROR" - many times comes due to RAM not compatable with motherboard .

you can try to change RAM (contact to Hardware vendor)

Please let us know the sp version of windows and also the physical memory available on the system.

SP3 is the windows version and this system configured as a virtual server & RAM is 2 GB.

To be frank you need more physical memory on the system, since its a ABAP + JAVA system and usually JAVA alone takes a lot of memory.

2GB is not enough, you must size your system with http://service.sap.com/quicksizer .. or ask your hardware vendor to do this for you. Most of them do it for free.

For a dual stack system, I would use 4GB at least, and probably more like 8GB.
