Deleting imports from client 800

Former Member

Hi,

I had imported few transports into my system.I cannot change these objects as I do not have the license to do so and they were only for reference purposes. Now I want to delete these objects completely from my client 800.Is that possible ?

I also have one more question : Whenever I make changes to the 800 client (any new implementation) , it reflects in client 000 as well. Why is that so ? Isn't 000 the SAP source client and should not have the new SAP implementations ? It does not however contain the SAP transaction data from client 800.

Kindly suggest. _

I have some more very novice questions :-

1. If I have the license installed in my SID I01 , 46 C IDES , can i install the same license in my 47 E , SID DRS system ?

2. When I installed the IDES 47 E in my Win2003 server m/c , i see that the temp license has a validity upto 10th March , 2012. Is it possible to go ahead with development in this system in the customer z workspace? Does the validity date point that after this date I would be unable to access or work with this system ?

3. If I have to obtain a fresh license , how should I go about it and how much does it cost for this license ?

Thanks again for all your support.

Hi,

u cannot use the License of 1 system to another system as the SID and installation number will vary.

Even if u try to apply also it wont take. Give a try and check as its IDES.

No

Ideally you have to install another license before expiry. But you may be able to work on temp license for 2 weeks.

Note 94998 - Requesting license keys and deleting systems. For costing you may contact SAP directly as it is not available online anywhere.

You cannot reverse the transport but you can transport additional request with the corrections.

Some objects are client independent. Thats why you have seen the changes in client 000 too. Check tcode scc4 for further information on locking cross client and client specific objects.

Hi Manoj,

Thanks for your very helpful reply. I have few more questions :

1. If I happen to get the Developer's License for these objects , then can I delete these objects ? If yes , where do i configure this license key so that I can delete the reqd objects ? Or do I need a repair license key ?

2. Regarding these objects being copied into the clnt 000 , i went and checked client 800 through scc4 and found that - In the Cross-Client Object changes , the option is "Changes to Repository and cross-client customizing alllowed".Is this

the reason why the objects got copied to the clnt 000 ? What option should I change it to if I don't want the objects to be copied ? "No changes to repository and cross-client customizing objects" ?

Kindly suggest.

Hi,

dev key is generated from two variables:

- user id

- installation number

after you enter this key it is stored in SAP table DEVACCESS (you can check this table and if it has any entries you can try to use them, but it wont work if one of upper mentioned variables was changed after key was used)

To get the developer access key,

1. Log into https://service.sap.com

2. Click on SAP supoort portal,

3. Click on Quicklinks,

4. Select /SSCR

5. then Select Registration.. After that go through the steps,

there are 2 types of transports workbench (or) customizing transport,

If it is customizing it will be client specific.

Yes, you can delete the objects. You can use tcode SLICENSE to install new license.
