message area forces the browser to scroll

Hello,

we have a message area at the top of the window and everytime we display a message the window scrolls up to show the message. Thats ok but in some cases we would like to switch off the scrolling.

E.g. you are at the bottom of the screen entering data in a table and click on the toolbar button 'new row' the window scrolls up to display a warning saying e.g. 'not all mandatory data has been entered'.

In this case we would like to switch off the forced display of the message. The message should be still be displayed but the browser shoud remain where the user scrolled before.

Is there a way to achieve this?

Thanks and regards,

Christoph

Hi Christoph,

As per what I know I think that its SAP's standard functionality to have the focus set on any error messages that get thrown. Trying to explicitly set the focus to something else wouldn't work out. Try check Rainer Liebisch's reply in this [thread|;.
