Are you wishing to delete a WBS element within a PS Project or physically deleting the WBS element completely. This link to the SAP help for ECC 6.0 may be of use:

[Deleting WBS Elements|http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/4c/225e5e46e611d189470000e829fbbd/frameset.htm]

I still want to know which of the two situations listed above is your need. The TCode CJ12.

Regards.

Hi

What is status of your WBS elements?

1.If CRTD you can delete completely

2.If REL then you can only set the Deletion Flag

If your WBS status is CRTD BUDG

Go to CJ30 and remove the budget manually or thransfer the budget to orther WBS elements using CJ34

Then Go to OPSX t.code and reset(Remove) the status BUDG to your WBS elements.

Goto CJ20N select your WBS assignment tab and remove the IM assignments and select the WBS again and right clcik delete(If the IM is assign to the WBS element otherwise skip this step).

This is the way to delete the WBS manually

Try this

Hi,

WBS Element can be deleted even if the status is in REL, provided " no postings or assignments to other objects exist " and also as long as no planned costs or revenues have been posted.

WBS Elements can't be deleted with status REL only with one condition " if they are distributed via ALE or if active simulation versions exist"

Thanks,

hi,

agree with selvakumar

IF the project status is "REL BUDG": First of all you need to clean the "BUDG" flag and then delete the WBS element

Hello,

Thanks for all of you.

I did exactly what you asked me but i still can't delete the WBS.

User tell me that it is because the WBS is linked to Asset under construction.

Can you help me ? how i must proceed ?

Thanks in advance

Hi Tarek,

You will have to first de assign all the objects, like AUC, Network etc.. close the open commitments, if any.

If any settlemets had run to that WBSE, the same needs to be reversed.

Then perform the deletion activity.

Hi

User tell me that it is because the WBS is linked to Asset under construction.

Select the WBS which you want to delete in Cj20N

EDIT-WBS elements-Investment progarms --- Asset under construction

In that click Asset values button

Check the if any values are already posted to the asset

If yes

Then go CJ88 and enter the WBS element in that and enter correct period and year when the valuse are posted.

from the top menu path select SETTLEMENT -

Reverse

So the value of the asset will return back to the WBS

Now try to delete the WBSE

If still you have problem , then post the correct error message which you are getting

Thanks

Hello S.Murali,

In CJ20N, "Asset value" button is not active. why ?

Then, When i executed CJ88 i receive the following error message:

Sender is opened or closed - settlement not possible

Message no. KD261

Diagnosis

At least one of the following system statuses is set for the sender:

Created

Closed

Deletion flag

Deletion indicator

As a result, the sender cannot be settled.

Procedure

You can use master data maintenance for the sender to change the system status if one of the statuses is set to one of the following:

Created (CRTD)

Closed (CLSD)

Deletion flag (DLFL)

Hi,

1. In CJ20N, "Asset value" button is not active. why ?

Take the asset number and goto AS02 transaction, check there.

2. When i executed CJ88 i receive the following error message:

Check the status of the WBS element it may be in CLSD status, goto menu path Edit - status - cancel close (B).

Then run the settlement.

Check and revert back.

Regards,

Praveen.

Hi

Check the status of the project/WBSE in Cj20N

If the status is CRTD the REL the project and change to TECO

If the status is closed(CLSD) the cancel the status and make the status TECO

If the status is DLFL then cancel that and make the status to TECO

After change the status to TECO you check the asset values.

Thanks

Hi

Edit --- Status --- Complete technically

Tell me one thing your WBS status is CRTD??????

The WBS has any commitments ( Internal activity or material activity)??????????

Thanks

Select the WBSE line item, go to the menu path Edit - status - Close Technically.

But why you want to change it to TECO, you can even delete the WBS element in Release status, if there are no assignments to that WBS element.

Praveen
