Hi Gurus,

I have installed a system (DEV) in Windows 2003 and Oracle 10.2.0.4.0. This installation works fine. Now, i wish install a new system (QAS) in the same server, for this i installed again Oracle, other database. When i run the sapinst, choose the new installation for Oracle, but the process installation stops in the step 10 of 47, Configure Oracle server network. The log say

I can´t solved this issue, in a step of the installation the CPD scheme was deleted and the only option was restore a backup.

Hi,

CJS-00095 means your services not started automatically.

Manually set ORACLE_SID/ORACLE_SERVICE for one session then try

lsnrctl >start ;if not stated ,then check listener.log.

You can change entry in listener.ora ,tnsnames.ora .file if needed.

still 2nd listener not working then you can configure through netca.

10.2.0.1 is not supported. You should have updated 10.2.0.4 before continuing the installation.

Hi Gil,

When your doing the 2ns installation , make sure that u have given different port for the new listener for quality and the listener name always mention as LISTENER_CPQ ..This will help us to detect the error.

Try to configure additional listner and give a go.

Hi,

There are two possiblities I can say

1. The directory is not exists.

2. There should be the permission problem on the E:\oracle\CPQ\102. Please check the folder E:\oracle\CPQ\102 & file E:\oracle\CPQ\102/bin/lsnrctl is permitted to access by user CPQadm & SAPserviceCPQ users.

I will also recommned you to stop SAP DEV instance & its all oracle & SAP services including listener before you start the QA system installation.

After successful installation of SAP you can configure the listerner refering below OSS notes.

Hope this helps.

Hi Alberto Gil ,

Rather than installing oracle again you can install the other system in the same database (MCOD installation-Multicomponent in one database).

The mcod installation steps are given in installation guide.

Hi,

thanks for all,

I follow the step MCOD and launch the QAS installation but, after waiting a long time, in the phase Create Database schema (near 14 hours), in the step Import ABAP stop the installation and the DEV system donu00B4t works. The error in the installation is:

Hi Alberto

Did you edit your listener.ora and tnsname.ora file before second installation?

Have a look at these notes...

https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/28392

https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/98252

This should answer your queries

Hi,

when you start new SAP installation on same system dont need to install Oracle software again

just create new database.

For your issue now you just start listener service

Hopt it will work
