SAPLCKDI (CK13N, CK11N)

We are using the above 2 transactions to display cost estimation for the BOM of materials. I would like to add some fields (from the material master) to the BOM portion of the screen.

I have gone through program SAPLCKDI but have not figured out how to add additional fields.

We are running 4.6C.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Gerhard,

Welcome to SDN!

Try and look out for screen exit..

Find out the Required EnhancementsEdit section

Go to SMOD.

Press F4 in the Enhancement field.

In the next popup window, click pushbutton ‘SAP Applications’.

A list will appear that contains information on all the enhancements, categorized under functional areas. Developer must search for the enhancements relevant to his functional area of interest – for e.g., Purchasing, Asset Accounting, etc.

Note down the enhancements. Then, come to the initial screen of SMOD and view the documentation of each enhancement to find out which one is required for your development.

That was one of the first things I was looking for but I did not find any neither for the transaction codes nor the program.

Well, found out that this program does not use any user exits at all.

I saw the COPCP* exits but none of them allows fields to be added.

I started adding my new field to various internal tables and changed the field contents (whilst debugging) of my new field in the routine where the BOM records are being processed. However, whenever the BOM is displayed I don't see the new field. Obviously I have not found the right internal table.

Any other options I could pursue?
