Revenue Recognition

Hi Experts,

The revenue recognition fields under "revenue recognition for item categories" are greyed out. How to maintain values in there? Any other pre-conditions to be set for the same?

Hi Sudhakar,

Please check Note 820417 which states that explicit permission is needed from SAP to activate this functionality. Please raise a message as stated in the Note.

Hi Venkataswamy,

He is asking about how to activate the field item category.Even if we go to the said path as suggested by you ,still it will appear in suppress mode only.For we need to take explicit permission from SAP.

Before you define items to revenue recognition, you should define them as item categories. After setting them as item categories, click on "New entries" button and add your item categories.

Hi ,

To implement Revenue recognition functionality it is require to take explicit permission from SAP.If you have decided to implement the same in your live system ,please request your SAP Account manager to give the permission to activate the RR related fileds.

It is also important to upgrade the patches if you are working on 4.6 & 4.7 .Pls go through the implementation guide for further details.
