Hi
I will like to know if anybody can tell me if it is still true that when a function module is not released and we use it anyway that SAP does not give any support or guarantee the result.
TKS
Hi Jacques-rene Ryan ,
Its very true that unreleased function modules are not supported by SAP..
I dont prefer using it if they deal with table manipulations..

Tanveer.

I´ve problems past week with FM ITS_DOWNLOAD(not released), and they say me: "+these function modules are internal modules that are not released for
customer use. Please use instead the methods of class
CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES.+"
So, look for an alternative to your not released FM.

I believe the way that it works is that if a FM is not released, SAP may change it (or remove it) at any time with no warning. Since SAP likely uses it for their own purposes, they support it, but only insofar as it works in there applications.
Personally, I use unreleased FMs, but not ones that update any SAP tables.
