QM Gurus,
In MIGO transaction (GR 101), we wanted to breakdown Lot per batch number for each specific UOM (e.g. per REEL, PC), so we used "multiple batch determination". The function worked for us, each major line we were able to breakdown and assign several Batch Numbers. But the function has drawbacks to IQA, "each Batch Number" produced one Inspection Lot.
Question:
While using "Multiple Batch Determination" during receipt, can the system generate only one
Inspection Lot per Material Document? and not per matl doc line item?
Please advice,
regards,
Hi hemant,
Same person here, different account...
Sorry, you may have misinterpreted my inquiry...
We do not want to have one inpection lot for "each material, batch, storage location"... what we want is to have
ONLY one inpection lot for each "material, material document" even though the material document can contain many batch numbers...
Please advice if this is feasible to setup,

Hi
In material master QM view - Inspection setup for type 01, set 'Control insLot' to '2- For each material, batch, storage location' This will solve the problem
Read F1 help on the field for more details: (required text copied from help)
'2' An inspection lot for each material and batch
If you set this indicator, the system creates only one inspection
lot for each material and batch. This setting is only advisable for
materials with a batch management requirement.
