Hi Kevin,

For kernel files you can go to https://websmp210.sap-ag.de/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000006063&_SCENARIO=011000358700000002...;

Then Go to Support Packages and Patches - Entry by Application Group - Additional Components

From there you can download the kernel as per your release and OS platform.

Thanks

Hi Kevin,

Without knowing below information we can not answer this.

Current kernel version

32 BIT or 64 BIT

Unicode or Nonunicode.

Open a command prompt and execute command disp+work -v

You will get all these information.

You can paste the same info here so that we can suggest.

Kevin,

If you are doing kernel for the first time, use JSPM which makes your job very easier.

Just drop the SAP Kernel files in /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in and open JSPM and select SINGLE SUPPORT PACKAGES.

You should be good.

Kernel patch

Note 19466 - Downloading SAP kernel patches

Hi,

Kernel upgrade:

download the Kernel file from the service market place..

One with specific to your db and another db independent from service market place.

Uncar the file and replace exe folder in your system.

Before upgrading kernel you have

1. Stop SAP

2. Stop os coll

If you have the latest version of sap and java stack installed you can use JSPM to upgrade your Kernel patch.

You just download the SAR files and place it in EPS/in folder and run JSPM it will upgrade your kernel.

Regarding the SPAM i.e support package upgrading
