Trying to setup the EM and introscope agent.

Steps to re-create

Goto Managed Systems, Click on Introscope agent.

2 issues

1st) I get the message below when I try to setup the individual systems

Retrieving list of Enterprise Managers failed: All configured Enterprise Managers are offline - check configuration.

When I go to the Enterprise manager screen it's all blank. Enterprise manager is installed and running. I have run the EMCtrl.sh status

and says it's running on the solution manager server, the log file shows no errors.

2nd)

When i to run the Diagnostics setup, it says it finished correctly, all green, but when I click on Advanced Setup and then Wily, the status of the Enterprise manager, it says all configured Enterprise managers are offline" The info is correct in the table

Fully qualified server Port 6001 id (i used mine and added the security) Password is correct

Webview/WS host, sames as first one, Port 8081,

I think has to do with the first issue.

We are running solution manager with EH1, and SP3 on it.

Thanks. Still not working for me. I went to step 5, and changed the user name and password from Admin Admin89 to Guest guest12, and fully qualified the hostnames as well.

The then re-ran the solman diagnostics in step 7. Even went to SMD admin and ran the upgrader. No go.

I am going to keep tinkering.

Do did you guys sort this? I am reinstalling the Enterprise Manager. I dont see any other thing left to do.

The problem was with Step 5 of Basic Configuration of SOLMAN_SETUP, the username/password was wrong. After I fixed that it started working. Make sure the user is solman_admin and the password is correct, I set the userid as a dialog for testing then I changed it back to a system after i was done.

Did you ever get this resolved? I am having the same issue. I did find in SPRO a step for Assining the EM is the SSM_VAR table. I did that as well to no avail.

I have tried that multiple times, i have even tried my id with Full access copied from this id.

I've had a simular issue in the past, solved it by deinstalling and reinstalling EM.

I know it doesn't sound like much of a solution, but it's fairly easy to do.....

Takes about 5 minutes or so....

Hi,

Try to re-enter the EM port and the Wily user credentials again and save -> in the advanced diagnostics settings. The connection should appear online - 'green'

This should fix the issue.
