Error while Changing Subtype Of Field

I am trying to Update the Subtype (st_Quantity to st_Measurement ) Of User Defined Field through FieldMD Object. The Error is Occuring

" [CUFD] , '[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Error converting data type nvarchar to numeric.'"

have anyone solution for this Problem ?

Have you tried to do the same thing by using B1 application? DI API should allow the same things as B1 application, otherwise there is a problem.

I have tried with B1 application version 2005 SP01 and it works fine, I haven't tried with DI API.
