POS download format issue

HI experts,

After integration of SAP retail and SAP POS, we are receiving file from PI for e.g DEPTTXN.asc (file attached) ,As according to DEPTTXN.ASC file format update type ,department, department group ,description should be of Decimal 2.0,decimal4.0, decimal 3.0 and string 20 respectively, But we are receiving data in below mentioned format ,because of that when we are posting this file to Xpress sever-> parm folder to view its data in Store manager we are not able see all the details of DEPTTXN.asc ,only price point details(last detail see below) with the linked category and department are shown there. We are facing same difficulties with other files also.

Do we have to do some modification in PI for the naming of department and department group?

Hi Abishek,

the problem is that SAP POS does not support alphanumerical values for department, group and category.

In SAP POS department can be maximum 4 digit numeric, group and category 3 digit numeric.

Therefore you have to perform a Value Mapping in PI.

Hi

You can hard code in PI saying if MC11450 comes as Merch Cat, send it as 1450 in Department(or any 4 digit number in which ever way you want to send it in understandable format of SAP POS).
