Hi Safinaz,

Can you explain it clearly non SAP (JAVA based /web/ external DB / MSSQL...)

by the way to use external non-SAP system select:

Connection type : T (TCP/IP Connection) appl

Connection type : G (TCP/IP Connection) JAVA / WEB

you can also use DBCON to connect with external DB.

Hi,

The non SAP server is a Windows server without any application running on it. Basically external parties use to sent files to this server accordingly to folder created.

I also found that there is a program that can be installed which SAP RFC SDK. However this is valid from version 6.40. My SAP system is running on 620.

Currently, I just need to develop a connection from SAP to this Non SAP system (Windows). I understand that from SM59, TCPIP option can be use.

Do I need to create a script to use TCPIP option?

Go to SM59

TCP/IP connections

select create

then select

RFC Destination * Windows server name*

Connection Type T TCP/IP Connection Description

under technical settings

for Program ID give the program name which connects both the systems,

At last below specify

Gateway Host

Gateway service sapgw<number>

Hi Ravi,

What do u mean by registered program id? Thus this program comes from the NON SAP system?

Or does SAP have a program to connect to NON SAP system?

Appreciate your feedback. Thanks.

Hi SS

Maybe RFC TCP/IP connection will help you. You can manage them in transaction SM59.
