Distributed system NW7.0 Ehp1

hi,

I am installating NW7.0 EHP1 distributed system for AS ABAP only.

Also we plan to execute creating Virtualhost.

Already DNS is registered with

db<sid> 10.10.1.10

ci<sid> 10.10.1.20

and i have drive to accomodate below things.

C-OS drive

G-DB data

H-DB Log

I-SAP binaries

Now i started to install first DB instance and then Central instance.

so started first db instance installation using "sapinst.exe SAPINST_USE_HOSTNAME=db<sid>

Selected option <Custom>, and immediately next screen asks me for SAP Profile directory.

What should i give here? Should i have to create usr/sap directory already in I Drive?

while installing database instance, i was asked to place the TEMPDB in C:Drive. when it will asked

please suggest me if i am wrong.

Hi jaichan jai,

I think you have done a mistake by installing the dbinstance first.First install ci then db.

Follow the secuence that is there in the sapinst tree structure.

In SAP tree, i have below order.

-Global host preperation

-DB instance

-CI instance

should i have to follow the order.?
