Shopping Cart Quantity not updated

Hi,

We have just patched to SP Stack 03 for our SAP SRM System and using a SRM Java Portal NW 7.1 SP03 Producer and a Netweaver 7.0 SPS18 consumer portal

We are using standard SRM Business package and accessing the Shopping cart iview from standard roles delivered.

Use clicks on Shopping cart, uses "Equipment Catalog" to open SRM-MDM Catalog. He select an item and quantity, and adds to Shopping cart. When the material is transferred to the shopping cart, the quantity field is shown blank in the shopping cart.

However if the user clicks on Print preview on the same shopping cart, he is able to see the quantity field in the adobe document.

Kindly advice.

Posting the resolution suggested by SAP Support for the benefit of the community:

Solution: We initially checked up table /SAPSRM/C_MDF_IC under SE16 and found out that for field name Quantity, Business object type BUS2121, field name VISIBLE was not marked "X". (!!!!)

To change this, we went to SPRO-Supplier Relationship Management - SRM Server - Cross Application Basic Settings - Extensions and Field Control (Personalization) - Configure Field Control - Configure Control for Fields on Item Level. Select Metadata for Fields on Item Level - Mark yes for "Field Visible" and save.

This helped Rajan resolve the issue. There is no SAP Note for this issue per our knowledge, and the issue occurred in the standard delivery (SP3).

We are not getting the quantity field even when the item is created manually as free text.

Any inputs..Can this be solved by some backend SRM config or seems to be a bug.

Hi Masa,

The Quantity field in "Item Overview" when I transfer the contents from SRM-MDM Catalog to Shopping cart shows blank.

Hi Masa,

Thanks for your reply. We checked up BBB_PD and the quantity field is available there. We are able to get the quantity field when we go to the print-preview of Shopping cart in the Portal.

Hence it seems to be a Portal UI error. Any place we can check it up or some SPRO config that activates it ?

Which quantity field is blank? In Item overview or Item detail ?

Hi,

Please save the SC and check quantity value in the BBB_PD transaction.

The first check point is data side issue or UI side issue.
