Hi Experts,

Would appreciate if you can please clarify following:

1. Whether Oracle 10.2 version can be connected with GRC Access control using Greenlight Adaptor.

2. What all configuration steps needs to be taken at Oracle Application server and GRC system.

3. Pointers to documentation of Greenlight Adaptor installation and configuration for Oracle Server.

4. In background what all steps are executed for risk analysis of Oracle users.

Hi Davinder / Sirish, I have a question related to this topic. Do we have to contact Greenlight before installing their RTA for Oracle systems? It's available to download from service market place and nothing prevented us from downloading it. Do you know if we have to pay extra software fee to use the greenlight adapters?

Thanks,

Bugesh

Dear Davinderpal,

Following ORACLE versions are supported by Greenlight Adaptor for RAR & CUP.

RAR - Supported versions of Oracle are 11.5.8, 11.5.9 and 11.5.10.x.

CUP - Supported versions of Oracle are 11.5.9 and 11.5.10.x.

Greenlight has created Installation Guide & User Guide for both RAR & CUP adapters. These documents comes along with adapter software which can be found at SAP Software corner.

Following is the path from where you can download ORACLE Adapter for AC 5.3

Installations and Upgrades - Entry by Application Group --> SAP Solutions for Governance, Risk, and Compliance --> SAP GRC Access Control --> SAP ACCESS CONTROL --> SAP GRC ACCESS CONTROL 5.3 --> Adapters --> AC ADAPTOR FOR ORACLE 530

Note: Make sure you have S-user ID and has proper authorizations to download adapter software.

Hope this answers your questions.

Best Regards,

Sirish Gullapalli.

Thank you very much Sirish for your help.

We are facing huge performance issues while Risk Analysis with Oracle Application servers through Greenlight Adaptor - its taking around 10 hours for 3000 users. Can you please point out what can be the possibilities and how can we trace out exact root cause and then solve it.

This is happening on GRC AC 5.2 SP10 and GRC logs doesn't say much , it just gives output taken 12 secs for one user Risk Analysis.

Here is our understanding on how GRC does Risk Analysis and our observations on our systems -->

1. GRC asks for 1 user details at a time from Oracle Application Server - please confirm does GRC do Risk Analysis for one user at a time or a bunch of users?

2. Oralce App server get details of that user and sends back results to GRC.

3. Now there is a wait time for around 3 secs before Oracle Server gets request for the second user. 3 sec for one user means 2.5 hours of wait time for 3000 users. We are not able to understand why Oracle Server needs to wait for next user request from GRC?

Would highly appreciate if you can share your experience on GRC Risk Analysis with Oracle (Greenlight Adaptor) and with SAP systems.

Best Regards

Dear Davinderpal,

I am not sure how "Risk Analysis" code is designed in the Greenlight Adapter.

You can get your questions answered by Greenlight directly if you can open an OSS message under component "GRC-SAC-SCC-GL".

Hi Devenderpal,

We are trying to connect Oracle 11.5.10 ERP system to GRC AC 5.3 SP16 RAR system for running risk analysis. The instructions provided in the Greenlight adapter installation guide (GLT_RAR_ORA11510) was followed to create the Schema, Grant Access & JDBC Connector

While creating the connector in GRC RAR, we receive the Connection Failed error message while testing the connection.

What should be the correct JNDI name that is to be provided in the System connector in RAR? Is it the JDBC connector name or the Alias name     Appreciate your input here.

                         Thanks,
