one of table space is going to fill now it is looking 95% used. how can i increase it...
You may use one of the following option :
1 You can add data file
2 You can alter one of the current data file
3 you can set autoextend ON (make sure you have enough space in that drive/partition)

Strongly recommend to get some Oracle training if you have to do increase a tablespace and you have no clue how to do so
should we take any precaution before increasing the table size
Generally, you should make sure that you are adding the datafile at correct location and of appropriate size. Based on the current growth you should add the file in correct location otherwise you might end up moving files from one location to another location or adding more files frequently. Regularly monitoring the folder free space if autoextend is on and so on.

If you are unable to add datafiles to tablespace because of filleup tablespace size then you can do that
Did you try adding datafiles to tablespace ?

Hi Azeem,
Increasing the tablespace needs some expertise at the database level even though we have a menu driven tool called BRTools.
Using the BRTools u can increase the tablespace with ease.
Excute brtools at the OS level (command prompt), make sure that u have logged in as ORA<SID> or <SID>adm and proceed as follows
brtools --> 2 - Space management --> 1 = Extend tablespace --> c(ontinue) --> c(ontinue) --> 1 = Extend tablespace --> Select the required tablespace and then proceed accordingly.
You have to ensure that there is enough space available in the disk before u start extending the tablespace. Else the brspace program will fail.
