Dispatcher fails to start

Hi

We are going through a qa refresh. The db has been restored to the qa system however now the dispatcher gets killed when we try to start qa.

Couldnt find any issues with dev_disp.

memory based parameters are set

qa license installed

Here are some entries from sapstart.log

(7078) **** 2009/07/16 04:49:30 Child 7101 terminated with Status 1 .

We are on solaris 5,9 on sparc / 10g / 4.7

any ideas would be appreciated.

Hi Ravi,

Without seeing log we cant give you solution. Post dev_disp, dev_w0 logs.

Generally this happen for many causes.

1) Shm low. Need to execute cleanipc <ins. No.> , ipcrm, if still not come up increase SHM

2) DB Schema password expire or locked. Check (select username, account_status from dba_users;)

3) Filesystem unmounted. Owner and permission

4) Profile problem.

5) Need to kill all running session related to sap....... etc
