Hi SAP Guru's,
I have some confusion regarding safety stock, i will give u example which i have copied from book, im not able to understand abt material in that, as per my view the order should be for 1 pc in that material 3, so why it is giiven for 51pc, pls explain me nin detail.
Mat. 1 Mat. 2 Mat. 3
Safety stock: 100 pc 100 pc 100 pc
available for planning: 0% 50% 50%
Shortage quantity 1 pc 1 pc 51 pc
Order proposal quantity
for lot-for-lot order qty 1 pc 0 pc 51 pc

Hi,
As per my understanding, the system is behaving normally for Mat 3.
50% of the safety stock can be available for planning, but still the safety stock is 100 pcs.
Now, in your case the stock for Mat 3 should be 49 pcs (shortage - 51 pcs). No matter it is available for planning, but still system will try to maintain the safety, hence the system is proposing 51 pcs.
For mat 2, shouldn't there be a proposal for 1 pc?

lot to lot size : ex
mini lot size & maxi lot size - 0
round off value = 0
mm02 / mrp
