portal login problem

Dear Friends

The user ADMINISTRATOR in Portal is Locked and we configured for SAP* user with a password using configtool.bat here we have activated ume.superadmn.activated .

When we try to enter with SAP* giving the password sys throwing an error stating that AUTHENTICAON FAILED

Please let me know how to activate the users either SAP* or ADMINISTRATOR

Hi Kiran,

Have you restarted the cluster after activating the super admin user ?

After the activation of SAP* you cannot login with the other user id's. Login with SAP* and unlock the administrator. Log off once and then login with the administrator and restore the old settings in the config tool.

Hi Kiran,

Please follow this procedure

Launch Configtool -

---

Global Server Configuration, Select Services -

---

> com.sap.security.core.ume.service

go to the property ume.superadmin.activated and change the value from False to True

for ume.superadmin.password key in the password

Save the changes and restart the cluster and you should be able to login to SAP* and the new password which has been given in the above field.

Now login to the portal using SAP* and then go to user management and give ur user id and you can unlock it.

Please check this and let us know if you were able to resolve it .
