Making the password recovery request email - instantaneous
I have noticed that emails in general.... but Password recovery emails in particular .... are sent on scheduled basis by the messaging service.
I can restart the messaging service and the emails get sent right after it.
It there a way to make the messaging service send emails instantaneously or decrease the time between scheduled send.
In the Admin go to Setup, then Config Settings. Select Messaging from the combobox on the top of the screen. The first item will be Sleep (Number of minutes between Messaging Service Sends). I believe the default value is 10. Try reducing this value to the number of minutes that will work for you.
