Hello All,

One issue with TREX.

RFC connection in SM59 for TREX is working fine. But when I go to TREXADMIN transaction--> Index tab, IT give popup

"Error in RFC connection please check in SM59"

In log at OS level on TREX host we can find below,

3360] 2009-07-15 16:20:22.922 e CLIENT_TRACE RfcTestAdmin.cpp(00573) : caught RfcNetException - reason: a rfc communication failed

[3360] 2009-07-15 16:20:22.969 e TrexNet RfcBufferedIO.cpp(00604) : ===>protocol mismatch found for tableRFC_CONNS_FOR_PROGID

What is reason of this error.

Also Suddenly out of 228 Indexes only 22 are available when checked via TREXAdmin.bat gui> Index>search

All indexes were searchable two days back.

OS for TREX : Windows

Please advice here.

Regards,

Abhay

Please check From TREXADMIN tx navigate to RFC Monitoring this tab page shows whether or not all of the SAP system application servers have a connection to the TREX system. If there are errors here, they can have the following causes:

The application server is communicating through an SAP gateway that has not been started.

The parameters of the RFC destination do not match the TREX configuration.

No TREX RFC server has registered with the SAP gateway.

The window shows only whether the connection from within the SAP system works. It does not display whether the connection works from within the TREX system.

The TREX admin tool (standalone) displays the complete status of the RFC connection and allows you to configure the RFC connection and correct the error.

Please check the below link on TREX Connection Errors

Hello Shyam,

Thanks for reply.

RFC connections from TREXAdmin tool is ok. Every thing regarding RFC is working fine, i.e. search. Problem is 2 days back all 228 indexes were available. Now only 22 are thr. Also If problem was with RFC connection then we should not get any search data, which is not the case.

Now RFC tab in TREX admin (TCode) shows connection green. Also TREXADMIN gui shows RFC green.

SM59 works fine.

Then Also when I go to TREXAdmin Tcode, its says Error in RFC connection.

Please advice here.

What are the tables where the TREX stores the Indexes?
