CAF HW and SW Requirements

Hi All,

I am new to CAF forum. Can anyone let me know

1)what are the HW and SW requirements for CAF. do i need to install KM&C for running CAF?

2) Is there any detailed document for installing and running CAF. If so, pls give the link

Hi Aditya,

To use CAF funtionality:

1. You have CAF installed on WAS server.

2. You should have CAF perspective working in NWDS.

for first point you have two options:

i. You install NW2004s. CAF comes with this installation automatically. You don't have to put extra efforts for this.

ii. If you have WAS server lower than NW2004s(NW2004), in this case, you have to install CAF 7.0 on the WAS server seperately. You will find this installable from service.sap.com

For second point:

i. If you have NWDS 7.0 or higher version then you will get CAF perspective in your NWDS.

ii. If you have NWDS 2.0 then you have to apply licence key to use CAF perspective. You will get this key from SAP. For getting licence keys check this forum.
