J2EE Installation error "create node group" during add-in JAVA install

I have already opened an OSS note with no response. In the mean time let explain what my problem is.

RUCRM "create node group" during add-in JAVA installation Long Text

I've recently upgraded our BI system from 3.5 to BI 7.00 (NW2004s). We had no active J2EE engine running so the upgrade was to the ABAP stack only.

Now I'm trying to install the J2EE engine for NW2004s.

I've successfully installed the SCS instance (02 in my case).

Now I'm failing when installing the Java database instance (on the same server as the ABAP instance). The installation is a "Central system" both the Java and ABAP Central instances and the database instance reside on the same server.

The error I'm seeing is in the phase, "DB2 UDB Create Nodegroups" MDB-01067 'c. Execution of Statement:

create nodegroup NGRP_FACT_BWX on nodes (0.0) returned with:

DB6CliExecute(): [IBM][CLI Driver][DB2/AIX64] SQL0264N Node "0" is a

duplicate notde. SQLSTATE=42728

Well, this is true. The node group does exist. It existed before the system was upgraded.

This error is impeding the Ramp Up installation of CRM 5.0, since the CRM system is depending on our upgraded BI system for Reporting and Analytics.

Why is sapinst trying to create it again? How can I proceed? HELP!
