Alert configuration: 404 error/Service cannot be reached.

hi,

When trying to configure the Alert from the Alert configuration in RWB i get a 404 page error.

I looked at some blogs and applied the OSSO note:750287 but i get a different error which says "Service cannot be reached.

This is the first part of the error.

What has happened?

URL http://pdcsap20.test.com:8002/sap/bc/bsp/sap/sxms_alertrules/main.do call was terminated because the corresponding service is not available.

I checked the service and i don't find sxms_alertrules in the SICF t-code because i think both the http ports are different.

Alert Inbox works.

After making the change as in the OSS note i rebooted the machine then i started getting the above error.

Any tips would be helpful.

Pls suggest me the steps from where I have to Activate the sxms_alertrules.
