GR mvt 101k: batch selection list does not work with special stocks

Greetings!

We're able to receive multiple batches on one goods receipt to stock (mvt 101) by entering an asterisk (*) in the batch field on the GR screen, and then selecting or entering the batch numbers to be received. However, when we try this with a consignment PO we get the error message The storage location/batch function * is not defined here (Message no. M7116).

I found an sap help doc that says "... Remember that the batch selection list does not work with special stocks." Is there a workaround for this? We're on release 470.

Hello Dennis,

try the new transaction (MIGO): Use the 'Distribute qty' pushbutton. For all goods receipts (with or without special stock) it is possible to create several batches.

I am not sure if this works for you , but its worth a shot.

Receive against a regular 101 & then do a transfer posting (412K)
