Serial number error

Dear FRIENDS,

while deleting the serial no.(0)from delivery document i got below mentioned error

***''Stock Data for Serial Number 0 not suitable for movement, Serial Number 0 cannot be moved here"***

Please suggest any method or steps to resolve the same.

Message no. IO231

Diagnosis

The current stock information for the serial number 0 contradicts the stock information of the movement to be posted. The following stock information is valid for the document and the serial number:

Sales Order Number

Stock data 0075095685

Serial data 0002599669

Only the first different field for the stock data/serial data is assigned. However, further data may also be inconsistent. To determine whether this is the case, you can start an analysis.

System Response

Two system responses are possible (set using Customizing):

If the case of an error occurring, the assignment of the serial number to this posting procedure is not possible.

In the case of a warning, you can, if necessary, transfer the notification.

Procedure

Assign a serial number which corresponds in your stock information to the stock data of the posting. You can display the serial numbers which can be used using Select serial numbers

Serial number 0 cannot be used here

Message no. IO201

Diagnosis

You have entered a serial number already present in the system.

System Response

If this is an error message of type E:

The current serial number status means that you cannot assign the serial number to the document (for example, material document, delivery note.

If this is an error message of type W:

You can assign the serial number despite the current status, or the serial number has already been assigned. In this case, you should verify the status and the causes of the error message.

Procedure

Verify the status of the serial number using the function Display material serial number.

Hi,

Let me know the system status of the serial no. Goto IQ03 & check the staus.

Thw system status is 'ESTO In the warehouse' & status with status no.is 'AVAL 1 - Unassigned'

Hi,

As per this status the serial no is in stock. Please check the history of the serial no so that you can understand to which document it has been assigned at last.

Check weather serial no is assigned to that material or not.
