Change workbook that broadcast setting is assigned to

Hello,

We use information broadcasting to refresh and email 20 workbooks to our users everyday. Occasionally, one of the workbooks needs to be replaced with a new one. Is there a way to easily move the assigned and scheduled broadcast setting from the old workbook to the new workbook. If we delete the setting on the old workbook and then recreate it (with the same technical name) on the new workbook I think that the scheduled job will still run (if it was scheduled periodically). I am just curious if there is an easier way to handle these situations.

Hello Michelle,

Its good to see you here at SDN.

Currently it is not possible to move assigned/scheduled broadcast setting from one workbook to another.

Reason:- Broadcast setting is purely dependent on Workbooks technical-id & enduser doesnt have any control on this technical name.

I am really sorry for this.

Possible solution:-

Create a new workbook & then create Broadcast settings on this.
