Backup Problem via db13

Dear Team,

I am using HP-UX with Oracle. When I am doing Full Online backup via db13 . It give error

BR0428W File /oracle/PRD/sapreorg/sr3700.data11.Z will be overwritten

BR0202I Saving /oracle/PRD/sapreorg/sr3.data1.Z

BR0203I to /dev/rmt/0mn ...

BR0278E Command output of 'LANG=C dd obs=128k bs=128k if=/oracle/PRD/sapreorg/sr3.data1.Z of=/dev/rmt/0mn':

But archive log is working fine.

Check the sapce of ur backup media or Directory. i think it may be problem of sapce . one more thing check permission of backup directory also.

Hi

I thnk Joe is right. Once initializ tape with scratch.

command line brbackup -i force -n 1 -v SCRATCH

Probably a problem with your tape. Try with a different one.

Also might be a defective tape drive.

PS: sometimes a cleaning tape will help.

Hi,

What is the pathc level of BR*Tools. Check if this Note 994136 - Backup to hard disk fails with error BR0278E SAP note helps you.

I/O error

Also check OS logs.
