Assigning Renamed Component to Existing Application

We had a WDC which we renamed. It has now lost it's association with the application. How do we assign it to the original application?

Is there any way to view the application? In SICF we can view the node for the app but see no connection to the component.

Go to SE80. Choose Workbench->Edit Object from the menu. Go to the Web Objects Tab. There you will find a radiobutton selection for Web Dynpro Application. Input your application name and hit the pencil button to go into change mode. You will be able to edit the Application information. On of the fields in teh Application edit screen is the Web Dynpro Component it is assigned to. An application can only be assigned to one Component.
