Dear All

Our Client has a requirement in their QM Process

While Grading a Material if it is found Off the Spec they wanted a new material ( Off Spec ) to be created .

And the newly created material to be inspected with a wider spec and if it is not found within the spec

it should be moved to blocked stock .

1) how we can move the material to another "wide-spec" material when grading;

(2) how can we trigger the grading of the wide-spec materials

When you test the first material and found that you want to regrade there is functionality in UD to convert to new material. once the new material is created transfer it to a storage location by activating 08 inspection type. inspection lot will be created and you can check the limits. if it is off spec you can move it to block

Inspection lot will not be created automaticaly for new material. You need do a transfer posting this new material to another storage location by activating 08 inspection. This will give new lot for doing the processing

Hi Gajesh,

Whether its possible to transfer the characteristics values of the batch from parent material to new material during the usage decision ?Otherwise it may be a tedious job to enter it manually for the new material!!!

I am able to transfer the material to the new material in Usage Decision.

But the Inspection lot is not created automatically for the new material .
