after using cv04n for search and entering document type, i get a list of documents(Dir's). What should i do to see only the latest versions of all documents(Dir's)?

Not possible with cv04n to get the list of documents with latest version.
Need development.
Use this BAPI BAPI_DOCUMENT_GETACTVERSION to get the highest version for any DIR.
