did you mean to do file content conversion on a PDF file?

if so, then you cannot do FCC on a PDF but you can use modules to read a PDF file - /people/shabarish.vijayakumar/blog/2009/05/17/trouble-writing-out-a-pdf-in-xipi

else if you are looking for just references on doing FCC then the best way is to do a simple advanced search with blogs section on sdn itself.

File Content Conversion is used to convert a flat file to and XML and viceversa.

You configure IR in File Adapter in sender or receiver side. Depend where yo wat yo configure it you have to take in mind this parameters.
