Hi,

I am having a small confusion.

I am having 2 SL for one Plant. material x is a stock item which is present in both the SL A and B.

When a sales Order comes in its only picking stock from Sl B. where is configuration done. and why is it picking uP only Sl B.

how is a material , Sl , and shipping point linked.

Hi Deepu,

Storage location is determined by the combination

Plantshipping pointstorage conditions --> storage location this is general determination.

We do storage location determination at OVL3.

So based on the criteria which you will select in OVL3 the storage location will trigger automatically. Also we maintain Storage location in material master.

In your case if you have WM activated then there is one concept of picking strategy by which you can determine Storage location.

Else if you want to trigger storage location based on some conditions then put a check in delivery user exit V02V0002.

Hi there,

Storage loc determination: Shipping point / plant / storage conditions. You will maintain this in OVL3.

For eg you have defined 2 storage conditions 01 & 02. So for shipping point ABCD, plant WXYZ you may maintain like this in OVL3.

ABCD / WXYZ / 01 --> A

ABCD / WXYZ / 02 --> B

So in your case, check in OVL3 what is the setting. I guess the setting in your system is pointing to the storage loc B. So it is getting proposed automatically.

Storage conditions are maintained in MM02 --> plant / storage data.

Also in some cases even for blank storage conditions you may choose to define either A or B.

Can you please explain how we can maintain two different storage conditions for the same material in the same plant so that we can have two different storage locations determined in delivery.

Hi,

The default storage location is proposed by Picking location determination in OVL3. But ensure that, if you maintain any Storage conditions in Material master - Plant data/ Stor. 1 tab, then you must maintain the correct combinations of same storage conditions with default storage location in Picking location determination.
