Dear All,
I have created BOm for a material Cutpcs.I gave the component as Fabric .Unit of measurement for Cutpcs is PC and Fabric is KG.I ran the MRP and created production order for the BOM material.
In confirmation The following error will occur.
"The (internal) unit has not been maintained in the unit table"
Note:These are in AFS
Regards,
D.Deepa
Hi Deepa,
I know this que'n has been asked a long time back but am answering it now becos I have this problem currently.
The solutions provided by other collegues seems to be wrong becos SAP is some how triggering this wrong error mesg. where it should not !
We had same error but we realized that picking of MMs for lower level production orders and their confirmations were not done entirely. Once this has been done...the error vanished
So check the BOMs lower level MMs and their respective production orders and do GI of those components and confirm all operations on those production orders.
Hope this might help any other fellas who are encountering this error mesg.

Hi Deepa,
You maintain additional units of measure for the cut pieces like this. 10 Pcs = 1 Kg this is an example. try this and let me know.

Dear Deepa,
what happnd to ur MRP thread
when ever u post a thread, plz make a practice of closing the threads
in case, if ur not staisfied then u should revert back
so plz close ur previeous thread
Thanx for understanding
Just now a gave a glance of ur MRP thread which has closed by u
but suprisingly u have not allocated any points to ur repliers
Plz try to encourage forum members
Coming to this thread
just check whether any alterantive unit of measure is maintained fabric
as ur saying it is KGS, but usually in apperel indutries they buy fabric in ROLLS
so just check & revert back
Regards
kumar
