DaRT Export to Archive taking long time

Former Member

Hi,

We are exporting DaRT to Archive server. We have selected two DaRT and exported to Archive. The status still shows "Export is in progress". It's R/3 system and SAP_BASIS 46B and Oracle version is 9.2.0.4.0. I do not know what is DART Version.

In FTWL when we select "Archive Link on" following is the staus:

Archiving information:

Filename Export to archive

00 DART.9999.2009.01.01 ARCHIVE 07/10/2009 09:06:30 4000

01 DART.9999.2009.01.01_01 ARCHIVE 07/10/2009 09:07:18 4000

02 DART.9999.2009.01.01_02

03 DART.9999.2009.01.01_03

04 DART.9999.2009.01.01_04 ARCHIVE 07/10/2009 09:09:04 4000

You can see file 02 and 03 is still not exported. I have checked the job in SM37, but could not find any active job.

Can any one help what could be the issue and how to resolve it?

Thanks

Best Regards,

Basis CK

Refer to this note,

Note 317153 - Archiving status remains in status "In process"

Reason and Prerequisites

When DART sends files to the archive or retrieves files from the archive, a message is sent to the archive to trigger the process. DART then sets the status indicator for the selected files to status "in process". Once the archiving or archive retrieval has completed, the archive system sends a message back to DART to indicate that the process has completed.

If this message is never received, then the status remains on "in process". This can happen for instance if the archiving task was terminated manually.

Solution

As of DART 1.07, the extract log and view query log have a new function to reset the "in process" indicator manually. In the log display, position the cursor on an entry that is still "in process", and from the menu select "Extras" - "Reset archive status".

If you are still on a release prior to DART 1.07, we recommend to upgrade DART (see note 198259 for R/3 releases 3.0D - 4.5B). The new function will also be delivered in a support package for R/3 4.6B and 4.6C.

Hi Ravi,

Thanks for the reply and solution. As suggested by you, I have done the reset of status and it worked. But now out of 6 files, 5 files shows exported to archive, but one still not.

Do you know if we can export to archive "again"? Will it work or give issue?

Appreciate your help.

Thx
